MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Postgraduate qualification in Engineering/Built Environment
- 15 years of Experience in an engineering/built environment of which 5 years should be senior management experience
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Provide specialist technical support on key strategic initiatives
- Facilitate an integrated business and service approach between technical/ infrastructure services and rail operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of capital projects and associated expenditures.
- Lead the benchmarking of specific technical and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with and support the GCEO on engagements with strategic stakeholders, e.g., strategic suppliers/ service providers to PRASA, Department of Transport, National Treasury, and other SoEs e.g., Transnet.
- Provide strategic advice to the GCEO in relation to technical and engineering matters to improve operational efficiencies.
- Provide support/ oversight in business (technical and engineering) performance monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
